LAA, with a team of consultants,
provided architectural design and construction
administration services to the owner of an early
century single story commercial building
(Circa 1920) in Belmont, MA. This masonry-bearing
wall structure with wood-framed components had been
severely damaged by a fire. LAA's design boosted the
presence of 8,000 SF of retail space on eight
distinct stores located on a recently reconstructed
streetscape.

The front facade of this corner
building retains the original brick
veneer band at the upper portion, while
the walls consist of a brick veneer capped with a
grey limestone sill. The front facade features
columns constructed with vintage cast stone units.
The color selections create clean facade while
highlighting the signage area and storefront of each
bay.
